The Governing Council has approved the signing of an agreement between the Ministry of Works, Housing and Transportation and the City of Calasparra and the awarding of a grant to the Consistory of 450,000 euros to finance the repair and improvement firm Cruises Calasparra, roads C-3314 and MP-510.
The stretch of road C-3314, between the origin and final variant of Calasparra is a section which by its nature becomes the axis of the population and access road to the MU-552 road, which runs through the Country Cagitán to Mula.
This area is of great importance for tourism and agriculture, is under severe pressure from urban development in the town of Calasparra and therefore subject to heavy traffic.
MU-510 road, between the center of the town of Calasparra and northern variant, is a stretch of road that runs into a major tourist area, Cenajo Swamp, and peri-making is under strong pressure of urban development and traffic.
Also this action will improve access to the Sanctuary of Hope, in its jubilee year.
The budget for repairs is estimated at 800,954 euros, with plans to implement between 2008 and 2009, bringing to it the Autonomous Region € 450,000 and the town of Calasparra, 350,954 euros.
