The Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Environment, through the Infrastructure State Agricultural Society (SEIASA), has signed an agreement Wednesday in Madrid in collaboration with the Community Irrigation Waters Reservoir Regulated Calasparra Argos, in Murcia, Phase II, for the consolidation and modernization of irrigation.
The planned works have a budget of 13,356,144 euros.
To finance 15 percent of the total cost will be borne by the Community of Irrigators, 70 percent correspond to SEIASA by contributions from the ERDF-Cohesion, and the remaining 15 percent by the State Society will be recovered from the Community of Irrigators in 25 annual payments from year 26 counted from the end of the works.
The action will affect a maximum area of ​​1,002 hectares and a maximum benefit of 1,100 irrigators.
The works will include the installation of pipes and hydrants, building three filtering stations for each of the sectors projected automating the irrigation system irrigation community and the installation of the structures, and valves necessary .
So far, the State Society has made in Murcia 14 modernization and consolidation of irrigation, amounting to 116 970 869 million.
The actions have affected an area of ​​68,560 hectares and 26,993 have benefited irrigators.
