As reported in the newspaper La Verdad dated May 19, Lt..
Mayor of Calasparra has been forced to stop performing works that were relatives in a Special Protection Area for Birds (SPAs).
The origin of the action is in the complaint lodged by a resident of the hamlet of Reolid calasparreña to the Guardia Civil on 29 March.
The complaint is based on a possible crime against spatial planning (urban crime), putting the attention of the worthy that in this area are building a large villa which is close to completion.
This neighbor also recalled that in the month of July 2010 reported similar occurrences to the SEPRONA (Guardia Civil) for the construction of two cottages in SPA area.
Apparently this has been the trigger for the Deputy Mayor Mr. Velez, paralyze the works, since there is only a license to build two ships of non-agricultural use, as is clear from the decision of the Ministry of Agriculture and Water dated January 16, 2006 which authorized the city council to grant a license for the construction of these craft in 2007, being the current holder of urbanism Mr Deputy Mayor.
From the Popular Party of Calasparra believe in the presumption of innocence of the council.
We regret that the regional press put into question the actions of one of our municipal leaders and that we, or as a political party or as individuals, we condemn, and that's why there are courts.
But let's be vigilant and to our mind to collect all the information possible to fully clarify the administrative, political and criminal if any, always from the highest respect for legality.
This party reserves the right to free exercise of our rightful opposition to demand political responsibility we deem appropriate and even demanding the resignation of councilor, if found to have committed any criminal liability if it proves that he acted in bad faith or knowing that did not fit right.
