González Tovar explained that Calasparra has received over 2.9 million euros of state funds in 2009 and 2010, which represents the biggest investment a government of Spain has made in this county, and that besides improving infrastructure and services, allows, in these difficult times, creating or maintaining jobs.
The contribution of the Government of Spain has been designed to perform 29 works projects that modernize and improve the town of Calasparra and have enabled the creation of 280 jobs.

Among the construction projects has reminded some of the already completed the reform of the Youth House, the refurbishment of several Public Institutions and Primary Education, the construction of 3-family dwellings for tourist accommodation, improvement of the Sierra forest Serrata San Miguel and San Jose or the extension of the cultural center of the Club of the Third Age, among others.
