Development 749,000 euros earmarked for the recovery of the Castillo de San Juan de Calasparra (24/03/2011)

The Government delegate, Rafael González Tovar, today announced that the Ministry of Public Works 749,772.00 euros allocated to the project of rehabilitation and consolidation of the Castillo de San Juan in Calasparra, in the province of Murcia, with the funds generated Cultural by 1% for public works contracts.

This item was approved by the Ministries of Development and Culture in the Joint Commission of 1% Cultural held yesterday in Madrid.

The total amount of the performance is of 999,696.00 euros, of which the Ministry provides 75%.

Calasparra Castle for the first time quoted by the geographer Al-Idrisi (twelfth century) to describe the route starting from Murcia, reached Segura de la Sierra.

It will also build a walkway, stairway with wooden planks to provide access to the Tower of Homage and a lookout platform.

1% Cultural

Heritage Act 1985 provides that 1% of the total budget for the implementation of public works will fund the work of conservation and enrichment of the Spanish Historical Heritage or promoting creativity.

The performances are held in buildings of cultural interest or similar.
