The MARM spends over one million euros to improve drinking water supply and Hellin Calasparra (01/01/2011)

The Government delegate, Rafael González Tovar, today reported that the Cabinet gave approval at its meeting this week, emergency works, valued at over one million euros to improve supply drinking water and Agramón Mines in the town of Hellin (Albacete), and extension of the urgent actions to save water, conditioning and waterproofing of the ditch Esparragal in Calasparra (Murcia).

The action envisaged in the town of Hellin aims to improve the quality of water, avoiding fluctuations in turbidity trawl material.

Potable water supply in the town of Las Minas is made from a direct shot of the River Segura.

In the case of the hamlet of Agramón is made from a general line, from the nucleus of Hellin, runs parallel to the road linking this population with Minateda.

This will avoid specific situations of shortage of drinking water to the villages of Las Minas and Agramón.

Also, today the works authorized by the Council of Ministers will improve irrigation capacity in Calasparra, Segura River coastal town which has mainly the ditch Esparragal for growing rice, its main product, trees and other plantations.
