The Department of Equality Calasparra City Council planned several events to mark the day dedicated to vindicating the rights and freedoms of women worldwide.
The commemoration of World Day Against Gender Violence is celebrated on Thursday 25 November and will open with a special program on Radio Calasparra from 11 am that will feature several guests and listeners in general.
In the afternoon, the usual lighting of candles at 19.30 hours in the Plaza of the slide, will serve to remember the victims senseless left by this terrible act of cruelty around the world.
On Friday the proposal stage "In the name of Eve" will be performed at the Auditorium at 21.00 hours, with free admission. Finally, on Sunday, the traditional march against gender violence will tour the city center to end Open Theatre in the Castle, where they can demonstrate all they want.
The march will start from the Plaza of the slide at 11 am.
Upon arrival, will present the work done by local artist Begoña Fernández Corbalán the winner of the survey participants What would you do to end abuse against women?
