The managing director of the Institute for Housing and Land in the Region, Joan Brown, visited yesterday, accompanied by the mayor of Calasparra, Jesus Navarro, the works that the regional government conducted in the municipality for the construction of 16 new homes Promotion Public next to the Casa Pérez Piñero.
The works, costing 1.6 million euros, are conducted on a plot of 1,357 square meters between the Mayor and Cantarería Street and Constitution Square, occupied by the House of Piñero and three adjoining properties donated by the City Hall.
With the implementation of this project will also recover part of a building of historical interest, the House of Piñero, to house a new museum facilities and public offices.
The total constructed area of 3,682 square meters of which 1,172 are for 23 parking spaces.
New homes are divided into seven properties in two and three bedroom apartments, from 66 to 85 square meters, and nine of 42 square meters and a bedroom.
The project also includes the opening of a new pedestrian street, the street extension Laundry.
The works, said the director of the IVS, progressing as planned.
During the day visited the site Juana Brown made through the regional government REPAIR PLAN conducted in 59 houses of public promotion of the municipality and have enjoyed the cooperation of the local council.
The works have included the repair of roofs, plumbing system, downspouts and gutters, as well as common areas are air conditioned and painted the walls, woodwork and ironwork.
Furthermore, mechanisms have been installed to save water and replaced the bath shower trays in those houses inhabited by elders.
