Ángel Gabilondo: We must fight for what you believe. (21/10/2010)

The Education Minister, ngel Gabilondo, chaired last Wednesday delivery Calasparra Silver Shield from the Villa to the four young winners this year with national recognition for excellence in academic achievement 2007-2008.

The event, organized by the local council, was supported by an outstanding representation from the universities where young people have completed their studies, as the Rector of the University of Granada, Murcia, the UP of Cartagena, or UP Vice-Chancellor of Valencia, among other representatives of the faculty.

They were joined together to recognize the Minister of Universities, Salvador Marin, the Government Delegate in Murcia, and mayors of the region.

With such a guest list the evening promised to be intense and emotionally charged, and it was.

Mayor Calasparra precisely was responsible for opening the event with a speech in which he said that the four young people were an example to follow and expressed the pride he felt for them.

On behalf of the distinguished Fernando Gomez Martinez addressed the audience and gave first thank the Mayor and City Council and then the rest of those present, making a special nod to their families.

Also taking part in the event the Minister of Universities, Salvador Marin, and the rectors of the Universities of Granada and Murcia, who agreed to express its congratulations and, together with the Mayor and the Minister, were responsible for imposing the Silver Shield the Village.

The event had the cooperation and coordination of Miguel Lpez Bachero Director of Club La Opinion and a professor at the Faculty of Education at the University of Murcia and was closed by the action of local group The Danserye, specializing in early music.

Of course there was rice for everyone.
