The City of Calasparra, through its Department of Agriculture and Water, has announced the courses to be taught in the municipality for the agricultural sector and in collaboration with the UPA and FECOAM.
The mayor of Calasparra, José Vélez Fernández, together with the mayor of Agriculture and Water, Juan José Rubio Navarro, have offered the details of this training call aimed at workers in the agricultural sector and future farmers, over 18 years.
The courses will be held at the Casa de la Juventud from March to July and are totally free.
For the mayor of the town, "we must preserve and support the most important sector for the regional economy: agriculture, a sector that has also evolved and has adapted to the times and new needs. It is very important that our farmers are up to date, acquiring, thanks to the UPA and FECOAM, and with our collaboration, the necessary knowledge for their professionalization, which will improve the quality of their farms and can be more competitive ".

Courses taught by the UPA:
20.21 MARCH: FERTIRRIGATION IN BONE FRUIT TREES
- 9, 10 APRIL: MANUFACTURER OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES
- 24, 25 MAY: SAFE FORKLIFT TILT MANAGEMENT
- 11, 12, 13, 14, 15 JUNE: PROFESSIONAL USER OF PHYTOSANITARY PRODUCTS BASIC LEVEL.
- 25, 26, 27, 28, 29 JUNE: ANIMAL WELFARE IN TRANSPORTATION
- 9, 10,11 JULY: MANAGEMENT AND MAINTENANCE OF LOCALIZED IRRIGATION FACILITIES
Courses taught by FECOAM:
PRL TRACTOR- 14 hours- STORE- 10 hours AND TROLLEY- 10 hours / FIRST AID
PROFESSIONAL USER OF PHYTOSANITARY PRODUCTS QUALIFIED LEVEL - 60 HOURS
