This morning the inauguration of the headquarters "Murcia, gastronomic capital" took place.
From Calasparra they have moved to the Romea Theater in Murcia, Teresa García, Councilor for Tourism of the City of Calasparra, Mari Carmen Carmona, Councilor for Commerce and Consumption, José Martínez, President of the DO Arroz Calasparra and Sergio López, Technician of the DO Calasparra rice.
During his speech the mayor of Murcia, Juan José Ballesta, has encouraged all the municipalities of the Region to participate in the activities that will be developed during this 2020. Activities grouped into four blocks: spring, summer, autumn and winter.
This gastronomy capital will place our municipality and our Region in a leading role in national gastronomy.
«Murcia, gastronomic capital» will host hundreds of activities such as workshops, showcookings, product shows, idea forums, social gatherings, artistic and cultural events related to gastronomy, cooking classes for children and culinary exhibitions of renowned chefs national and international prestige.
From the City Council of Calasparra and the DO Arroz Calasparra we will work in the same direction to bring the cuisine of our municipality to the top of the national and international gastronomic panorama.
