Juan Pelotero and Los Inocentes will return to occupy the streets of Calasparra, on December 28, the day of the Holy Innocents (18/12/2019)

On December 28, the day of Los Santos Inocentes, Juan Pelotero and Los Inocentes will return to occupy the streets of Calasparra, to cheer with their jokes and games to all the Calasparreños and Calasparreñas who are on their way.

Juan Pelotero is a popular traditional character whose origins date back to the fifteenth century and that goes out in the streets accompanied by his gang, the Innocents, formed by the Scribe, the Judge and the Jailer.

They carry a baton, an old book and a turkey pen, symbols of municipal authority that they use to fine people for the first thing they can think of, no matter how ridiculous.

The appearance of the set is quirky.

The main protagonist paints his face with a tile and wanders wielding an instrument formed by a stick whose end is topped by a rag ball - hence his name.

The game consists, basically, in that any Calasparreño or Calasparreña gave him some coins to hit any other ... When Juan Pelotero arrived to fulfill his assignment, the victim had to pay more money so that he did not hit him or to return the ball to the First.

The representation will be performed by El Molino Producciones, a theater company that has animation and entertainment professionals for the family audience, with more than fifteen years of experience in the sector.

Among his recent productions are The Jungle Book, The Mowgli Adventure.

Best Children's Musical in the IX Awards of Musical Theater and The Lady and the Tramp The Musical which during these days tour all the theaters of Spanish geography, and which was represented last September in our town.
