The Autonomous Community allows the investment of 7.2 million euros in Calasparra, which will involve the transfer of a canning company to new facilities of more than 160,000 square meters in the same town and the maintenance of 220 jobs.
This has been possible thanks to an instrument that, exceptionally, allows the regional executive to favor business activity and job creation.
The Minister of Development and Infrastructure, José Ramón Díez de Revenga, explained that to promote the expansion of this company he has been granted the 'exceptional authorization of public interest', which is a figure that includes the Land Law of the Region of Murcia that allows the opening of new activities in non-urban or developable land without sectorization ".
In order to obtain this type of authorization, the public interest, the need for location must be justified, and the infrastructures required for its operation must also be resolved.
Díez de Revenga recalled that, within the framework of the conclusions of the White Book of Construction, his department approved an 'instruction' to clarify how these types of authorizations are processed that allow companies to install or expand their facilities.
The instruction resolves the recurring doubts that the authorization raised between the companies that promoted new businesses, the professionals who designed the projects of these activities and the town halls.
In addition, it resolves technical uncertainties and reinforces the legal certainty of this normative instrument.
