Next Saturday, June 8, the town hosts a new edition, the fifth one, of the football tournament "Calasparra Cup", organized by the Peña Madridista together with the City Council of Calasparra and with the collaboration of the Football Federation of the Region of Murcia.
During the presentation of the sports event for the Alevín category, both the mayor of Calasparra José Vélez, and the president of the Peña Madridista, Francisco José Núñez, agreed that this is one of the most important tournaments in Spain and that, thanks to the work and tenacity of the four editions held so far, it has been consolidated in an absolute way, to the point that this year's edition has the presence of Real Madrid Alevín A.
The poster is completed with the Villareal, the CD Leganés, the Kelme, the Elche, the Real Murcia and the Calasparra FB.
Núñez highlighted the gratuity of the tournament, both the entry and the participation of the players.
"Children are not charged for coming to play, nor is entrance fee charged."
The diffusion of the sport and the promotion of the players are the engines of the tournament that will begin at 9 o'clock in the morning at the Municipal de la Caverina.
At that time the reception of the participants will take place, at 9:15 the presentation of the teams and from 9:30 the competition will begin through 18 matches.
The final is scheduled to take place at 5.30 pm and then the closing and delivery of trophies.
The tournament will have 150 children and more than 40 volunteers.
Real Madrid Channel, among other media, will echo the competition for which the mayor of Calasparra has asked to "fill the stands, the occasion well deserves it."
