Councilman environment, Rafael Romero, together with the local mayor, Jesus Navarro, among other members of the municipal corporation, headed the environmental performance of last Saturday.
The group of volunteers departed from the "Cuesta Blanca", in order to reforest the area and clean up the area known as the Mouth Jar. "Rafa Romero pointed out that this year's activities and wanted to involve as many people.

Saturday's activities focused on riparian plant species and native plants, and the release of a new group of ducks, plus the Fishermen's Society, let go, over the past week, more than 50 kilos of fish, with the objective to provide a new space for fishing without death.
The mayor noted that the area has become a veritable river park, which will be completed shortly, with the installation of information panels on the fauna and flora.
Jesus Navarro said that the aim of the activities of World Environment Day is to educate the public about the need to preserve and respect our environment and encouraged residents to visit the area Calasparra and make the route that goes from the Cuesta Blanca , to the New Bridge and discover a charming corner, he said.
At the same time the activities are more festive lived in another scenario, the Plaza of the slide. The concert of the group "Tires of the Sane" and the workshops, was the highlight of an activity organized by the Association Meteoambiente where were collected over 50 environmental proposals that have been sent to the Green Peace organization.
