Next Saturday, March 10, the town hosts a new edition of the Festival of Bands of Cornets and Drums "Villa de Calasparra".
In its eleventh edition, the participating bands are: The band of cornets and drums of the Brotherhood "La Verónica", of Alguazas;
the band of cornets and drums of the brotherhood of Nuestro Padre Jesús Nazareno, of Calasparra;
the band of cornets and drums of the Santísimo Cristo del Perdón, of San Pedro del Pinatar;
the band of cornets and drums "Sentencia", of Albacete;
the band of cornets and drums of the Royal Brotherhood of San Juan Evangelista and la Dolorosa, of Calasparra;
the group of cornets and drums "Tómbola", from Alicante and the band of cornets and drums of the brotherhood of Ecce-Homo, from Calasparra.
The parades of the participating bands will begin at 12 noon from Juan Ramón Jiménez Avenue, intersection with Higinio Marín street, and will end at Plaza de la Corredera, where the performance of three bands will take place.
In the afternoon, from 4:00 pm, the festival will resume at the Fairgrounds with the performance of the rest of the participating bands in this 2018 edition.
The XI Festival of Bands of Cornets and Drums "Villa de Calasparra" is organized by the Cabildo Superior de Cofradías de Semana Santa and sponsored by the City Council of Calasparra.
