The government delegate in Murcia, Rafael González Tovar, has chaired a meeting of the Local Security Board of the City of Calasparra, together with the local mayor, Jesus Navarro, to discuss the current situation of public security in the municipality.

At the meeting, Gonzalez Tovar has been delivered to Navarro of a Partnership, Cooperation and Coordination between the Ministry of Interior and the consistory, on which he has said it will allow access after signing Computerized Assistance and Civil Guard improve coordination of actions between the Security Forces of the State and Local Police.

Local police have direct access to data banks Forces of State Security on requisitions, missing persons, stolen vehicles and other topics of interest to the police.

For Gonzalez Tovar "is a valuable tool to share information as may be achieved better coordination among different police forces and thus greater speed in their performances and ultimately greater operational efficiency."

Have also been discussed at the meeting different aspects of public safety in the municipality and González Tovar has highlighted the significant increase of 100% in the number of troops and security forces of the State in this council, and in 2004 had a total of 7 policemen, while today there are 14 agents.

This responds to the effort and commitment of President Rodríguez Zapatero to increase and expand the number of these professionals throughout our region.

Also recalled that the Government of Spain through the Ministry of Interior has made in 2009 works in the Civil Guard barracks in Calasparra with an investment of nearly 58,000 euros in order to improve these facilities.
