The Municipal School Council of Calasparra meets to coordinate the safe return to school (11/09/2020)

| The City Council of Calasparra will deliver masks to all the students of the schools and institutes of the municipality | Yesterday afternoon the Municipal School Council met in which it was informed of the different measures established by the Calasparra City Council, together with the Local Police of Calasparra and Municipal Services, in schools, within their powers, to guarantee a safer return to the classroom.

The measures have been adopted in response to the needs and requests of the educational centers, transmitted in various meetings that have taken place since the beginning of the health crisis.In this way, there will be a forceful and daily reinforcement in the cleaning of each center with the incorporation of more cleaning personnel, together with the Local Police of Calasparra will redirect and cut some streets to traffic in the surroundings of the centers during the entrances and exits.Likewise, during the days prior to the beginning of the classes, the general cleaning of the centers and the adaptation of gardens and recesses have been carried out, which are added to the different actions carried out in them, such as painting work, conditioning of classrooms, plumbing repairs and other maintenance tasks.During this meeting, the mayor, Teresa García, together with the education councilor, Cristina Ruiz, also informed all those summoned that the Calasparra City Council, on the occasion of the return to school of the municipality's schoolchildren, will deliver reusable masks to all students, teachers and maintenance personnel who are in contact with the students of public and subsidized educational centers, including the IES Emilio Pérez Piñero institute.To report on the cut off to traffic in some streets adjacent to educational centers, the City Council is going to launch a campaign in which fathers, mothers, boys and girls are also encouraged to walk to their school, avoiding the use of vehicles as far as possible, to avoid crowds in the vicinity of schools.

This campaign includes an informative video aimed at kindergarten and primary school students in which the Police Tutor explains to the little ones why this measure has been taken and encourages them to implement it.From the City Council they wish all the boys and girls a happy return to school, in a year that has to be especially careful and convinced that the little ones will understand the new measures established by and for their safety.
