The Ministry of Tourism and Culture opens tomorrow, September 28 (20:00 hours), in Calasparra, the exhibition of Miguel Pujante 'Realismo Rasgado', one of the selected to form part of the Exhibition Space Plan.
The realistic paints of the painter and Murcian writer can be seen until the end of October in the Exhibition Hall of the Mayor Street of the municipality.
These are works made during the last years in which the Murcian creator demonstrates his commitment to reality and to his own painting.
He does it through realistic portraits of figures with sometimes blurred faces, as well as other works that reflect his particular look on details such as a decanter, a plug or a small boat containing a brush.
In some of the works highlights the use of the spatula, but as it goes into the representation of the human body in the most current creations, the brush is gaining prominence and new resources appear as the scraping or removal of previously painted areas, in addition to a richer chromatic range not only focused on grays.
With this exhibition, Calasparra joins the thirty municipalities that this year host exhibitions within the Exhibition Space Plan, an initiative of the Ministry of Tourism and Culture created to give greater visibility to the work carried out by the artists of the Region and for increase cultural proposals in the municipalities, bringing culture and art to all citizens.
In 2018 a total of 56 exhibitions will be organized that will bring together works by 70 creators, showing the variety of proposals that, within contemporary art, can be found in the Region.
'Torn Realism' can be visited in Calasparra until October 27, from Wednesday to Saturday, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
