The campaign on wheels of the ONCE will arrive in Calasparra in September]

Insert Employment, the entity for training and employment of the ONCE Foundation, presented today in Calasparra, through Nuria Vidal Carpi director of the Business Agency of the ONCE, Delia Torralba, territorial director of Inserta Empleo, and the mayor of Social Affairs and Youth of the Municipality of Calasparra, Antonio José Merino Moreno, the roadshow "Do not give up ever", with the motto "This opportunity does not happen every day, will travel through 15 autonomous communities and 78 Spanish towns during the next three months and will stop in the Northwest Region on September 10, 11 and 12.

This initiative is integrated into the work inclusion plan of the group of young people with disabilities within the "Activa Tu Talento" project, within the framework of execution of the Operative Youth Employment Program (POEJ) co-financed by the European Social Fund.

Its objective is to attract 5,000 unemployed young people between 16 and 29 years old from all Spanish territory who have a disability certificate equal to or greater than 33%, and provide them with resources to improve their employability.

The registration of candidatures will be made through the portal Noterindasnunca.org.

According to Delia Torralba, the itinerant information offices will be staffed with the necessary areas to inform young people who visit them of all the resources available to them to train and respond to the current job demand of companies in our country. .

As indicated by the ONCE Foundation, the unemployment rate of people with disabilities at present (as of June 2018) is 28.6%, 9.1 points more than that of the population without disabilities.

Focusing on the young group, in Spain there are 89,400 young people with disabilities aged 16 to 24 working age, which represents 4.9% of the active population in Spain.

Its unemployment rate, between 16 and 24 years old, stood at 60.6% in 2016, 32 points more than that of the group of young people without disabilities (28.6%).

For his part, Antonio José Merino Moreno explained that they will mark a common road map for the employment and training of young people with disabilities in the municipality.
